Emails

Every weekday between 2-3 p.m. our parents were sitting in car lines scrolling through their phones while waiting for their kids to get out of school. In order to capitalize on that screen time, we sent a few emails during early voting and on Election Day to push them to the polls.

Signage

We had signs like the one pictured all over town in 18”x24” (yard sign), 4’x4’ and 4’x8’. I helped design the signs and brainstormed strategic placement around town to make sure the message was clear, concise and memorable.

Post Card

This 5”x7” postcard hit specific voter households the week before early voting. We targeted our mailing list by narrowing down a voter universe—people who voted in the last three elections (since they were likely to show up to the polls again)—and all voters over the age of 65 (since people over the age of 65 are more likely to vote than any other age group). Those two groups gave us a total of 8,000 households with likely voters.

At the end of early voting, 72% of voters that turned out came from our voter universe, which shows our targeting worked!
